Recently came across a very comprehensive post and associated flow-chart explicating how Google search works. The beauty of the diagram lies in the fact that it explains Google's very-secretive complex software behined search mechanism in very simple way.

Is the worst of recession really getting over

With some light spreading at the end of the recession tunnel, many people like me are wondering if the worse of recession is genuinely about to conclude. Though the figures emanating from various part of geography suggest so, some of the economists suggest we might be heading to something called "double dip" recession. Better symbolized as "W-shaped" recession, this type has a recession, emergence from previous recession and another leap of recession following short period of growth.

No doubt recovery appears to be in motion in almost all kinds of industries ranging from Real-estate, IT, Retail etc but many economists are cautioning about "W-shaped" recession. This kind typically has two back to back recessions. Hence, most people are impacted with the repeat recession cycle when they are expecting it the least.

A New Begining...

A lot of water has flown under the bridge since I last penned down my thoughts in Blogosphere on http://blogs.sun.com/prats.

Last year had brought some of the most trying times of the decade and I am one of the lot that was highly impacted by the recession. I was laid off in January when tough times were at its meridian. My previous employer, Sun Microsystems after bleeding for long eventually decided to stop support to some of its major products. My team across various geographies were asked to move on.

Being at home at the time of economic strain was surely very hard and sometime made me wonder if there was light on the other end of the tunnel. The experience has certainly made me a better person both personally and professionally.

I joined Huawei Technologies(a world-leading telecom solutions provider) in June 09 and its been a roller-coaster ride since then. The thought of getting out of stealth state stroked me as I laze during year-end break. After too much of procrastination, I made up my mind to start blogging again.

In the beginning of the new year, I feel like standing at the beginning of a very large bridge that I am about to walk over in coming 365 days. Though I have no idea what awaits for me on the other side of the bridge or how would it be walking upon the bridge, but I am sure the journey towards the end of 2010 is going to be pretty exciting and challenging.
